The watermain duplication will improve town water supply and capacity for future development.

Works are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2024, and the duplication completed by the end of January 2025.

The watermain duplication will be installed on the eastern side of Sheridans Bridge Road, heading north from the clear water storage tank, then crossing Ready Street to the western side of High Street.

It's expected that traffic along the works section of Sheridans Bridge Road will be reduced to one lane with a reduced speed limit at times. A traffic management plan will ensure delays are kept to a minimum, and safe access maintained to adjacent properties.

Construction activities will be carried out Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm. On occasion we may need to work outside these hours for safety or technical reasons.

The new water main duplication will have to be connected to the existing clear water storage tank but this work will take place overnight to minimise any disruption.
